Episode 48: Vestments is a Great Word

Happy Friday, everyone!

In minute 48, Jason’s adopted catch phrase finally shows up in the movie. The assembled group of Wonka, the children and chaperones, head inside the factory to begin their journey…in a very oddly shaped room. There are a ton of great reactions throughout this minute, especially considering the room, and Willy Wonka’s general demeanor.

Episode 47: Head Canon on Fleek

It’s your mid-week candy coated, deliciously decadent treat!

In minute 47, we try and figure out how Charlie’s story came to be in the paper. Jason spins a depressing yarn about the newspaper business. We also discuss Willy Wonka’s introduction to each of the lucky kids who found a Golden Ticket, and his reactions to each of them. Jason’s been watching Bob Ross with his son, and it comes up here.

Episode 46: The Canadian Tuxedo

Welcome to a new week with Everlasting Minute!

In minute 46, we discuss the children crowding around the gate, their wardrobes, and the security of said gate. David has questions about Mr. Slugworth’s scar. Jason and David both have issues with remembering when Wonka’s cane gets stuck, no matter how many times they watch it. We revisit a discussion from episode 43, touching on Charlie and Grandpa Joe’s respective feelings about Slugworth. Also, David decides that Gene Wilder could’ve gone into a completely different line of work if acting hadn’t worked out.

Episode 16: Wonkalytics

Welcome back to Everlasting Minute!

We are starting the week off with a statistical analysis of how likely it is for Charlie to find a Golden Ticket, and weighing whether or not desire matters in cases of random distribution. Also, David screws up a very easy metaphor. Grandpa Joe throws fuel on the fire…not water, David. Also, Diana Sowle kills it in this episode, and we briefly meet another child who will become important.
