Bonus Episode: A Decidedly Different Take on Things

Welcome to another bonus episode of Everlasting Minute.

On this episode, David welcomes one third of Chikara Pro’s Proteus Wheel, Frantik to the show. Frantik has some decidedly different ideas about the content of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory than Jason and David did throughout the run of the show.

For those of you who aren’t aware (and we do get into it on the show) the Proteus Wheel are a group of individuals genetically modified by Professor Nicodemus. They believe themselves to be superior beings, and are rudos (the lucha libre term for bad guys) in the world of Chikara.

Frantik and David discuss the demise of each of the children, and whether or not there might have been a different ending, if not for dumb luck. There is also discussion about why the chocolate river has a reddish tint.

I’d like to thank Frantik for coming on the show, and suggest that everyone go check him and the rest of the Proteus Wheel out at Especially their match with Lucas Calhoun, Missile Assault Man, and Axel Ford from the season finale “Let’s Get Invisible”. You can also follow him on Twitter…for now.

Episode 17: The Peanut Queen

It’s your mid-week treat! Minute 17 of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is centered around Mr. Salt’s nut factory. We find out more about Veruca Salt, and her family. We do some more math in this episode, figuring out how long Veruca has been “looking” for a Golden Ticket, as well as some inflation calculations. We also talk about how hard Julie Dawn Cole had to work to achieve appropriate levels of brattiness in this scene. We discuss Roy Kinnear’s filmography, and his untimely death.

Who’s the brattiest person in your life? Tell us in the comments or in our Facebook group?

Thanks for listening, and we’ll see you back here on Friday!
